ABOUT
At Once Upon A Story our goal is to encourage literacy by bringing stories to life. We accomplish this by reading children's books aloud and telling stories on our YouTube channel. We post videos of children's books read aloud and have playlists with books and stories related to specific themes. We also post videos using other storytelling methods to tell fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and other stories. Our diverse collection of stories makes it easy for teachers and parents to find content related to specific themes while always having new stories for children to enjoy.
We believe that reading aloud to children is key to building literacy skills. While we never want to replace having parents and teachers read aloud to children, we know that there is no such thing as "too much" when it comes to reading to kids. We also know that "screen time" has become a normal part of children's lives, and our channel can help make screen time a time to increase literacy skills.
In addition to our videos, we also create educational resources on teachers pay teachers and post helpful information here on our blog to help encourage literacy.
